About My House Of Belonging
The song playing is my very favorite song "I Hope You Dance" I am Roberta... for those of you who know me; that requires no further introduction *smile*. This lovely frame is designed by Patches Angel
I first heard the phrase 'house of belonging' in a book titled "Moving On" by Sarah ban Breathnach. She refers to the Celtic origin of this phrase to mean that our body houses our spirit/soul... “Work like you don’t need the money, Time Waits For No One... Barter Love After Love ~ By Derek Walcott

To my dearest friends... and, to those of you who do not know me yet...
Perhaps you came to be here by way of a friend's introduction
Or by way of some keyword that brought you here...
Perhaps, I twisted your interest
(I would never twist your arm)
to come here to visit...
I am so glad that you are visiting me here at My House Of Belonging today.
I am a writer and an herbalist.
I enjoy gardening and cultivating culinary and curative herbs.
I love to walk on the beach here... Cocoa Beach, Florida (the Space Coast)
Yeah... right where they filmed "I dream of Jeannie show"... LOL
I have lived here since just a scant few weeks before the USSR launched Sputnik.
I have the amazing privilege of living here
From the very beginning of the space program through today.
I have not chained myself to any trees lately...
But, if I thought that doing so would...
Stop the overdevelopment of our lovely state... and save and preserve our natural wildlife (we are their guests in my way of thinking)...
And our fragile ecosystem... I just might consider it.
I am currently in the process of studying to acquire certification as a Holistic Health Practitioner.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to visit here at My House Of Belonging.
Our Very Life Essence.
She also shares that it connotes feeling safe; knowing always and ever that...
You belong to yourself.
You may enjoy a love relationship...
Family and friends...
Neighbors and acquaintances...
Coworkers and cohorts...
The only lifetime relationship
You have and are in charge of is with...
YOURSELF.
The greatest adventure of life is to become your own best friend...
To be gentle with yourself... To pay very close attention to yourself...
To indulge yourself in nurturing and warm ways in your life...
To be as certain as possible that in making your every choice...
In delibrating your every decision and in every experience...
You remain true to yourself.
Love like you’ve never been hurt,
Dance like no one is watching,
Live like it is Heaven on Earth."
~ Satchel Paige
So stop waiting...
until you finish school,
until you go back to school,
until you lose ten pounds,
until you gain ten pounds,
until you have kids,
until your kids leave the house,
until you start work,
until you retire,
until you get married,
until you get divorced,
until Friday night,
until Sunday morning,
until you get a new car or home,
until your car or home is paid off,
until spring,
until summer,
until fall,
until winter,
until you are on welfare,
until you are off welfare,
until the first or fifteenth,
until your song comes on,
until you've had a drink,
until you've sobered up,
until you die,
until you are born again...
To decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy...
To learn that there is no way to Happiness...
Happiness is the way!

For your pleasure... Here are a few of my favorite poems:
By Sara Teasdale
Life has loveliness to sell,
All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fire that sways and sings,
And children's faces looking up
Holding wonder like a cup.
Life has loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of gold,
Scent of pine trees in the rain,
Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy thoughts that star the night.
Spend all you have for loveliness,
Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of peace
Count many a year of strife well lost,
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.
The Nobel Prize for Literature ~ 1992
The time will come when, with elation
You will greet yourself arriving
At your own door, in your own mirror
And each will smile at the other's welcome,
And say, Sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who is your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart to itself,
to the stranger who has loved you all your life,
whom you ignored for another,
who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.
I bid you to enjoy all that you discover here.
"When your heart speaks, take good notes."
~ Judith Campbell
"The beginning is the most important part of the work."
~ Plato, 5th century Greek philosopher,
from "The Republic"
"We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive at where we started
And to know the place for the first time."
~ T. S. Elliot
"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." ~ Helen Keller
"Be as a page ~ That aches for a word ~ Which speaks on a theme ~ That is timeless."
~ Neil Diamond, "Be"
